I obtained my first degree of Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2009, before being offered a Tutor position at the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM). Later on, I pursued my doctoral studies in the field of experimental high-speed aerodynamics also at the University of Manchester and graduated in 2013, at the age of 26. Altogether, I spent 8 years studying in the UK.

Upon returning to Malaysia, I was appointed to the Senior Lecturer position at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPNM. Until today, I have experiences teaching 8 undergraduate (Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering) courses and 3 postgraduate (Master of Mechanical Engineering and Master of Aeronautics Engineering) courses. I am currently supervising 4 PhD and 7 Master students. I have also graduated 16 undergraduate Final Year Project students and 11 internship students from various universities including University of Auckland, NZ and University of Strathclyde, UK.

In the research field, I am involved in 11 research grant projects with a cumulative amount of RM 2.8 million (£530,000) with collaborations from established researchers from both national and international level. The highlight of my research achievements is winning the Newton - Ungku Umar international research fund in 2018 worth RM 1.4 million. This project involves partnership between UPNM, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) UK and the University of Manchester, UK investigating the Shock-Wave / Boundary Layer Interactions phenomenon in Hypersonic Flow.

I am a registered Professional Engineer (PEng) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Professional Technologist (PTech) with Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT) and a Corporate Member (MIEM) of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). I am also a Member (MRAeS) of the Royal Aeronautical Society UK, Member (MIET) of the Institution of Engineering & Technology UK, Member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and Associate ASEAN Engineer (AAE)
